HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is a non-surgical skin tightening and lifting treatment. Ultrasound energy is delivered deep into the skin layers, stimulating collagen production and tightening the SMAS layer — the same layer targeted in surgical facelifts. Results develop over 2–3 months and last 12–18 months. At Primrose, HIFU for face and neck starts from $350.
BB Glow is a semi-permanent foundation treatment where a tinted skin-perfecting serum is infused into the upper layer of the skin using microneedling. It creates a natural, even skin tone effect that lasts 4–8 weeks without the need for daily foundation. It also contains brightening and anti-ageing ingredients that improve skin over time.
A carbon facial involves applying a layer of liquid carbon to the face, which penetrates deep into pores. A laser is then passed over the skin — the laser energy is absorbed by the carbon, vaporising it and taking dead skin cells, impurities and blackheads with it. The result is deeply cleansed, resurfaced skin with a visible glow. At Primrose, carbon facials start from $120.
Most clients see significant improvement after 3–6 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart. For acne scarring or deeper concerns, 6+ sessions may be recommended. Maintenance treatments every 3–6 months keep results optimal. Your therapist will create a personalised treatment plan at consultation.
Most of our skin treatments are safe for a range of skin tones. HIFU, LED therapy and BB Glow are generally suitable for all skin tones. For microneedling and carbon facials, we assess your skin at consultation to ensure the treatment is appropriate and adjust settings accordingly for darker skin types.
